We are engaged with our customer, an electrical consulting company, handling huge commercial and industrial electrical engineering projects in creating and delivering highly coordinated, 3D intelligent models of electrical systems, accurate construction documentation, and automated data-driven insights.

The client is a leading electrical contractor serving diverse sectors including industrial, commercial, healthcare (hospitals), government, and pharmaceutical industries. They specialize in delivering comprehensive, end-to-end electrical solutions across complex projects.

Scope of Services

The organization provides fully integrated project execution, encompassing:

·      Engineering design and planning

·      Procurement and purchasing

Project Delivery Approach

The client adopts an advanced Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) methodology, leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enable Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). This approach ensures improved collaboration, precision, and efficiency across all project stakeholders.

BIM / VDC Capabilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical BIM Modeler based in Chennai. The role involves creating, managing, and optimizing electrical building information models while collaborating closely with design teams and engineers. Responsibilities include interpreting electrical designs, preparing detailed 3D models, and ensuring the accuracy of technical details. The Electrical BIM Modeler will also work to maintain compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Electricity, Electrical Engineering, and Power Generation
• Experience in Electrical Design with a focus on precision and compliance
• Proficiency working with Electrical Equipment and understanding of related systems
• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Relevant experience in the construction or design industry is preferred

Layout experience includes the following:

·      ½”-4” conduit

·      Conduit racks including feeders and distribution

·      Roof electrical

·      Generator layout

·      Major bus duct

·      Lighting

·      Cable Tray

·      Seismic

·      Underground feeders and distribution

·      Coordination of all trades work

·      Submittal data attachment

·      Operations and maintenance data attachment

·      Testing data attachment

·      Build custom families

·      Clash detection

·      Generate simulated model scheduling and phasing

·      Level 300, 400 and 500 experience

·      BIM design build experience

Pre-requisties

·      Electrical Engineering Graudate from reputed institution with excellent track records

. 5 to 10+ years industry experience in similar line

. Good to excellent communication skills in both verbal and written

. Work in close coordination with US customer.
