This role involves mentoring and guiding team members, supporting business units in developing future projects and strategies, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The Chief Architect ensures designs meet industry standards and regulations, facilitates effective communication among stakeholders, and drives business growth.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
Conceptualization and Design
- Develop innovative and functional design solutions that meet client needs and project objectives.
- Lead the design process for architectural projects, including concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Ensure that designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.
- Incorporating sustainable practices and materials into designs to minimize environmental impact and promote energy efficiency.
- Staying abreast of evolving architectural trends, technologies, and ecological concerns to continuously innovate and adapt to the changing demands of society.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and requirements.
- Address client feedback and incorporate changes into the design as needed.
- Ability to lead group of 10 to 15 Architects and Cad Architects.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment. Delegate tasks effectively and manage workload distribution within the team.
- Oversee the production of architectural drawings, renderings, and presentations.
- Manage, mentor, develop a diverse team, including direct, indirect, and contract employees, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Encourage regular internal meetings, professional development and continuous learning among team members.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion.
- Coordination with construction teams and managing any design changes that arise during the building phase.
- Ensure the project completion as per schedule with an agreed quality and quantities.

- Ensure the other design team is aligned with project design intend.
- Coordinate with them for design development and detailing as per project requirements & client specifications.
- Review their deliverable and provide timely concurrence for project completion.
- supporting business units in developing future projects and strategies
- Coordinate with site teams for construction design deliverables and supports.
- Conduct regular meeting with site team for progress review.
- Visit construction sites to observe progress, identify any discrepancies, and provide necessary design changes and solutions for completion of work.
- Assist procurement team with technical specifications and details for finalizing finishing items.
- Facilitate audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and project-specific protocols.
Purpose of Interaction
Client
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and requirements.
- Address client feedback and incorporate changes into the design as needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and design reviews.
- Work closely with other professionals, such as structural engineers, landscape architects, interior designers and MEP, to ensure that the design is feasible and integrates well with other aspects of the project.
- Review and provide compliances to their deliverables.
- Ensure that the design adheres to local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations
- Deep understanding of legal requirements and the ability to navigate complex bureaucratic processes.
- Assist vendor for preparation and approval of shop drawings.
- Interact with multiple vendors for finalization of right product as per project requirement and specifications.
KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Qualifications
- B.Arch. & M.Arch
- Registered in COA
- English, other languages and local languages are added advantage.
