Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Engineer, located in Gurugram. As an EDR Engineer at PwC India, you will be responsible for implementing endpoint security measures, configuring and managing EDR platforms, monitoring malware activities, and responding effectively to threats. You will also collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous improvement of endpoint protection frameworks, document incident analysis, and support system and application hardening efforts.

Qualifications

Experience in EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, or similar technologies
Knowledge of endpoint security, malware detection, and incident response
Strong skills in Linux/Windows OS, system hardening, and vulnerability management
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
Ability to perform forensic analysis and utilize SIEM tools for log analysis and threat investigation
Excellent communication skills to effectively report findings and recommend solutions
Educational background in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
Industry certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or GCFA are advantageous
Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within a consulting or cybersecurity organization
