Job Description

The Opportunity

You’ve spent years leading classrooms, centers, and teams. You know the pressures early learning directors face: staff shortages, burnout, ratios, and last-minute call-offs that disrupt quality care.

Now you’re ready for something new.

Jovie is hiring a Veteran Early Learning Director who wants to leverage their expertise, credibility, and industry relationships in a consultative sales role, helping early learning centers solve one of their biggest challenges: reliable substitute staffing.

This is not a desk job. It’s a relationship-driven role where your background opens doors, your reputation builds trust, and your insight helps centers stay open, compliant, and confident, even when staffing is unpredictable.

What You’ll Do

As an Early Learning Director – Strategic Partnerships, you will:

  • Build and grow relationships with early learning centers, preschools, and childcare programs in your market
  • Use your firsthand experience to consult with directors and owners on staffing challenges and solutions
  • Present Jovie’s substitute staffing model as a strategic extension of their team, not just a vendor
  • Identify new partnership opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry involvement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, speaking the language of early learning leaders because you’ve been one
  • Collaborate with Jovie’s operations team to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing partner success
  • Represent Jovie at industry events, association meetings, and community gatherings

What Makes This Role Different

  • Sales with purpose: You’re selling a solution that protects children, staff, and program continuity
  • Peer-to-peer credibility: Directors trust you because you’ve walked in their shoes
  • No classroom, no ratios: You stay connected to the industry without managing daily operations
  • Flexible, relationship-based work: Your calendar reflects conversations, not chaos
  • High autonomy: You own your relationships and your results

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of leadership experience in early learning, childcare, or preschool settings
  • Has served as a Center Director, Assistant Director, or Multi-Site Leader
  • Is well-known and well-respected in the local early learning community
  • Enjoys relationship-building, networking, and consultative conversations
  • Is ready to transition out of center management while staying connected to the field
  • Is motivated by impact, influence, and professional growth

Sales experience is helpful but not required. If you can build trust, ask smart questions, and guide decisions, we can teach the rest.
