Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Drupal Developer with 3 to 4 years’ experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using the Drupal CMS platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Drupal architecture, custom module development, API integrations, and enterprise-level deployments. You will be responsible for end-to-end development — from technical design to deployment — while ensuring adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Drupal Development

• Develop and maintain Drupal-based websites and applications (Drupal 8/9/10).
• Build custom modules, themes, and plugins.
• Perform site-building using Views, Content Types, Taxonomy, Blocks, etc.
• Implement multilingual and multi-site architecture.

Architecture & Technical Design

• Participate in system architecture planning.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Drupal solutions.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of Drupal applications.

Customization & Integration

• Integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Implement RESTful & headless Drupal architectures.
• Customize core and contributed modules when required.

Frontend Collaboration

• Work with UI/UX teams to implement responsive themes.
• Integrate frontend frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.).

Performance & Security

• Optimize Drupal websites for speed and scalability.
• Implement Drupal security best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and vulnerability checks.

Deployment & DevOps

• Work with CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage deployments on cloud/on premise environments.
• Use Docker-based environments (if applicable).

Maintenance & Support

• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Upgrade Drupal versions & contributed modules.
• Ensure backup and disaster recovery practices.

Core Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Drupal 8/9/10
• Custom module & theme development
• Drupal hooks, services & plugin architecture
• Drupal configuration management

Programming, DB, API Integration

• PHP (OOP)
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• jQuery / Modern JS frameworks (React/Vue – preferred)
• MySQL / MariaDB / PostgreSQL
• REST / JSON / GraphQL
• Third-party API integrations

DevOps & Tools

• Git (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Docker / Composer
• Drush

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Headless Drupal
• Knowledge of SEO best practices
• Experience with enterprise CMS deployments
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field.

Good to Have

• Drupal certification, Experience in government projects, Experience in high-traffic websites
