Position: Deputy HR Manager
Location: Kochi
Experience: 10 to 15 Years
Salary: 8 lacs to 12 lacs
Role Summary:
The HR Generalist – Senior Executive will be responsible for handling end-to-end HR operations with a strong focus on manufacturing/EMS environment. The role involves supporting plant HR activities, employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, and coordination with business stakeholders to ensure smooth HR functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for shop-floor, staff, and executive-level positions
- Coordinate with hiring managers for manpower planning and workforce optimization
- Liaise with recruitment consultancies and manage vendor performance
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, and exits
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of employee records
- Conduct exit interviews and support attrition analysis

3. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
- Ensure compliance with labor laws applicable to EMS/manufacturing units
- Handle PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, CLRA, Factory Act, and Shops & Establishment compliance
- Coordinate with external consultants and government authorities during audits and inspections
4. Payroll & Compensation Support
- Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Validate attendance, leave, overtime, and wage inputs
- Support annual increment, promotion, and performance-related processes
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address employee grievances and maintain healthy industrial relations
- Support disciplinary actions, inquiries, and corrective measures as required
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities
6. HR Operations & MIS
- Maintain HR MIS, dashboards, and periodic reports
- Support HR audits, internal reviews, and process improvements
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and SOPs
7. Training & Development Support
- Coordinate training programs, skill development, and compliance training
- Maintain training records and effectiveness reports
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of HR operations in EMS / Manufacturing setup
- Sound knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle workforce across multiple levels
- Proficiency in MS Excel, HRIS, and reporting
Educational Qualification:
* MBA / MA HRM/ MSW in Human Resources or equivalent qualification
Preferred Profile
* Experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, or large-scale manufacturing plants
* Exposure to shop-floor HR and unionized workforce (added advantage)
