Role Description The Day Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring a safe, structured, and caring environment for children. This full-time, on-site role in Gurugram includes supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and monitoring adherence to safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards. The supervisor plans and implements age-appropriate activities, supports classroom routines, and ensures that learning materials are organized and available. The role involves regular communication with families, addressing concerns, providing updates on children’s progress, and maintaining accurate records. The Day Care Supervisor also trains and mentors team members, manages incident reporting, and collaborates with management to improve programs and services.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in childcare supervision, early childhood education, or managing a daycare or preschool setting.
- Strong skills in team leadership, staff coordination, and mentoring, with the ability to foster a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of child development, age-appropriate activities, and best practices for early learning and behavior guidance.
- Ability to implement and monitor safety, hygiene, and security protocols, including emergency procedures and compliance with local regulations.
- Clear, empathetic communication skills for engaging with children, families, and colleagues, including conflict resolution and feedback delivery.
- Organizational and record-keeping skills to manage attendance, incident reports, schedules, and child progress documentation.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience working in a structured childcare or school environment in Gurugram or similar urban settings is an advantage.
