Job Description

Position: Audio Captioning Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $35 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week

Role Responsibilities

Annotate short-form video content with detailed, high-precision audio descriptions
Analyze speech, music, sound effects, and emotional tone based strictly on audible and visible cues
Apply rubric-based criteria to ensure consistency, accuracy, and chronological precision
Produce concise, selective annotations without speculation or inferred intent
Reject unusable samples according to defined quality rules
Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to uphold annotation standards

Requirements

Strong experience analyzing and describing audio content with precision
Strong written communication skills with high attention to detail
Strong experience in audio annotation, transcription, media labeling, or qualitative analysis
Ability to process high volumes of short-form video content efficiently
Strong ability to follow strict formatting, quality, and guideline requirements
Reliable, independent work habits in a remote environment
