Officer - Export Commercial

Job Description

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to handle and Shipping department. Shipping Team will be responsible for overseeing a team and ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all export-related shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee rate negotiations and SPOT rate selection based on operational requirements and reliability factors.

Ensure a specified percentage of LEO (ex-factory to handover) within strict timelines

Collaborate with CHA, Shipping Lines, Airlines, and Consolidators to negotiate rates and ensure timely cargo movement.

Provide innovative solutions to Marketing based on requirements or prevailing market conditions.

Monitor ongoing shipments, compile weekly summaries, and promptly inform marketing/business teams about ongoing or anticipated challenges.

Maintain timely communication with customers, ensuring compliance with their requirements, including ASN on customer portals and prompt sharing of documents.

Manage vendors effectively to ensure smooth execution of shipments.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred

Proven experience (2 years) in export pre-shipment and shipping operations, with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Key Technical Competencies

In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficiency in relevant software and systems for export documentation and shipment tracking

Strong Knowledge of MS Excel , Power Point, Power BI
