As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Controller—a highly motivated, adaptable individual who can jump into the day-to-day and grow into a senior financial leadership role. This is a rare opportunity to work side-by-side with company leadership and build the foundation of our internal finance and accounting teams.
Your Primary Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily accounting operations that include general ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting for a multisite warehouse and manufacturing environment with operations and sales in multiple states.
· Establish and maintain internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with GAAP and local, state, and federal tax regulations.
· Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal procedures
· Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare necessary documents for tax filing.
· Daily cash flow analysis and development of models is critical to support rapid growth and expansion.
· Cost accounting support in a manufacturing/distribution environment, understanding direct and indirect labor and plant overhead.
· Initially responsible for payables and customer billing, cash receipts and receivables.
· Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis.
· Oversee and track: fixed assets, maintenance costs, tax, payroll and insurance.
Your Secondary Job Responsibilities:
· Lead or participate in special projects, including system upgrades, process optimization, and automation initiatives.
· Partner with senior executives on financial analysis, manufacturing costing, and operational improvements.
· Assist with audit preparation and act as a key contact with external auditors.
· Eventually build, manage, and mentora larger accounting team and be able to supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.

· Strong communicator and critical thinker, with a team-first mindset
What We Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Industry accounting certification, CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) .
- Extensive (5-7+ years) of progressive accounting experience, including including senior or assistant controller roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Proficiency with mid-market ERP systems is required.
- Sales tax experience with Avalara or similar to support state Nexus reporting.
- Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel are required.
- Remote work with one to two weeks of quarterly travel required.
