Consultant Ophthalmologist (Phaco Surgeon)

Qualification

• MS Ophthalmology
• DNB Ophthalmology
• DO (Diploma in Ophthalmology)
  
  

Registration

• Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration
  
  

Experience

• Experienced Phaco Surgeons Preferred
• Candidates with independent Cataract Surgery experience will be given preference
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and OPD consultations
• Perform Phacoemulsification (Phaco) Cataract Surgeries independently
• Diagnose and manage cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors, and other ophthalmic disorders
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Counsel patients regarding surgical procedures and treatment plans
• Coordinate with optometrists, OT staff, and hospital management
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and surgical records
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards
  
  

Skills Required

• Expertise in Phaco Cataract Surgery
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in Ophthalmology
• Excellent patient counselling and communication abilities
• Professional, ethical, and patient-centric approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
