The role involves engaging in case discussions, contributing to treatment protocols, providing patient and family counseling, and adhering to clinical governance and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site role located at Narayana Health in Gurgaon, requiring close collaboration with senior consultants, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
Qualifications
- Relevant medical qualification: MBBS with MS/MD/DNB in General Surgery, followed by MCh/DNB in Neurosurgery (or equivalent recognized specialization).
- Strong clinical skills in neurosurgical patient assessment, operative assistance, and post-operative care, including familiarity with neuroimaging and critical care concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced tertiary care setting, including participation in emergency neurosurgical calls and duty rosters.
- Clear, compassionate communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with proficiency in medical documentation.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in academic activities such as case presentations, CMEs, and clinical audits.
- Knowledge of hospital quality and safety protocols; prior experience in NABH/JCI-accredited settings is an advantage.
- Registration with the relevant medical council and eligibility to practice in India; prior experience as a Junior/Associate Consultant in Neurosurgery is preferred.
