Role Description The Commis Chef role at Taco Singh is a full-time, on-site position based in Nanded. In this role, the Commis Chef supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, assisting with cooking Mexican–Indian fusion dishes, and following recipes and presentation standards. Daily tasks include maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in workstations, organizing storage and mise en place, and handling basic cooking and plating under supervision. The Commis Chef also helps with stock rotation, minimizing waste, and working closely with senior chefs to learn new techniques and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Food Preparation and basic Cooking techniques
- Core Culinary Skills with an interest in fusion and international cuisines
- Commitment to Hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with the kitchen and service teams
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or culinary internship is an advantage
- Relevant culinary training or certification is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and adapt to changing needs
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
