Job Responsibilities

  • Patient and Room Preparation- Support clinician in room preparation, patient preparation for appointments, and patient care activities within scope of practice. May clean and maintain equipment, order inventory, and restock supplies. May perform procedures, collect data, analyze data, and inform clinical decisions regarding patient care, including initial screening, assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, care and reassessment. Ensures work areas are organized and safe. May respond and follow up with referrals and inquiries from patient families, efficiently and effectively resolving issues.
  • Data Management II- Develop/design/create, evaluate, restructure, and/or manage specific database(s). Input and ensure the integrity of data and/or records. Standardize and document processes. May coordinate data collection. May conduct data analysis, create reports, and disseminate to the appropriate individuals.
  • Administrative Support II- Provide administrative oversight and assistance for departmental operations and programs. Oversee recurring events and projects relating to staff employee matters. Assist with special projects, reports, and assignments.
  • Compliance - Patient Services Staff- Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Support leadership in compliance efforts to meet and sustain the regulatory compliance efforts of the department and hospital. Be mindful and judicious in monitoring safety and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis. Work with department managers, nurse council and magnet representatives to identify and share safety best practices. Be mindful of CCHMC's processes and compliance with CMS standards and freely communicate safety and compliance concerns to team members.
  • Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Inclusive- Consistently support the integration of age specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's chronological age and developmental functioning.

To provide assistance with patient related activities within a clinical discipline.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Audiology Aide License by the State of Ohio, where applicable
