Job Title:
Capacity Building Trainer & Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist – Financial Literacy Project
Location:
Jammu & Kashmir (Field-based with travel across districts)
Reporting To:
Regional Manager
Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for designing and delivering capacity-building initiatives on financial literacy while ensuring robust monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities. The position aims to enhance financial inclusion outcomes by strengthening field teams, improving beneficiary awareness, and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Capacity Building & Training
Design and deliver training modules on financial literacy and financial inclusion for field staff, community stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for project teams and partner organizations.
Develop IEC (Information, Education & Communication) materials aligned with project objectives.
Facilitate workshops on:
Digital financial services (UPI, AEPS, mobile banking)
Savings, credit, insurance, and pension schemes
Government financial inclusion schemes (PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, etc.)
Assess training effectiveness through pre/post evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
B. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Develop and implement M&E frameworks, tools, and indicators for the project.
Track project progress against KPIs and deliverables.
Conduct regular field monitoring visits and audits to ensure quality implementation.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data collection, validation, and reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze data to generate insights and recommend program improvements.
C. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain MIS systems and ensure proper documentation of project activities.
Ensure compliance with donor/regulatory reporting requirements (including RBI/financial inclusion guidelines where applicable).
Support impact assessments and baseline/endline surveys.
D. Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with banks, government departments, and local institutions.
Support coordination with district administrations and financial institutions.
Represent the organization in review meetings and workshops.
E. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to project guidelines, SOPs, and compliance standards.
Identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
Promote best practices in financial literacy and inclusion.
Core Competencies (Mandatory):
Strong knowledge of Financial Literacy & Financial Inclusion concepts
Understanding of:
Banking systems and digital financial services
Government financial schemes and RBI guidelines
Training & facilitation skills
Monitoring & evaluation methodologies
Data analysis and report writing
Communication and stakeholder engagement
Problem-solving and field adaptability
Educational Qualification:
MBA/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Rural Development, Social Work, or related field
Certification in M&E / Financial Inclusion (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience in:
Financial literacy programs
Training and capacity building
Monitoring & evaluation
Experience in Jammu & Kashmir or similar geographies preferred
Skills Required:
Proficiency in MS Office, MIS tools, and data analysis
Strong presentation and training delivery skills
Fluency in English, Hindi, and preferably local languages (Kashmiri/Dogri)
Willingness to travel extensively in field areas
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Number of trainings conducted and participants covered
Improvement in financial literacy levels of beneficiaries
Timely and accurate reporting
Data quality and compliance adherence
Achievement of project targets
Other Requirements:
Field-oriented role with frequent travel
Ability to work in challenging environments
Strong commitment to community development and financial inclusion
