Taxplan is building an organized ecosystem for taxation and compliance services by combining professional expertise, technology, consultant network and customer-focused service delivery.
Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic, responsible and target-oriented Business Development & Revenue Manager who will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue for Taxplan.
The candidate will be responsible for corporate tie-ups, partnerships, client acquisition, lead conversion, revenue generation and managing Taxplan's Business Development interns.
This is not only a sales role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of revenue, build a structured business development process, manage interns, track performance and convert market opportunities into actual business.
Compensation: Approx. ₹6 LPA. Performance-based incentives may be considered based on revenue achievement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Generate new business opportunities for Taxplan through direct outreach, networking and referral channels.
- Identify and approach potential clients across segments — individuals, SMEs, business owners, housing societies, associations, educational institutions and startup communities — for Taxplan's taxation, GST, accounting and compliance services.
- Convert leads into paying clients and ensure monthly revenue targets are achieved.
- Create and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients, partners and referral sources.
- Prepare and present Taxplan's business proposals to prospective clients and partners.
- Regularly follow up with leads and ensure timely closures.
2. Corporate Tie-Ups & Strategic Partnerships
- Build formal, ongoing tie-ups with companies for employee tax filing programs, GST/accounting support, compliance services and advisory retainers.
- Develop relationships with HR teams, finance departments, business associations, startup networks and professional networks to establish Taxplan as their preferred compliance partner.
- Explore partnership opportunities with consultants, CA firms, educational institutions, banks and fintech companies for referral or co-service arrangements.
- Negotiate and finalize commercial terms, proposals and collaboration models with management for corporate and institutional partnerships.
3. BD Intern Team Handling
- Manage, guide and monitor Taxplan's Business Development interns.
- Assign daily and weekly business development targets to interns.
- Train interns on Taxplan's services, sales pitch, client handling and lead generation process.
- Track intern attendance, discipline, productivity and reporting.
- Review lead sheets, follow-up status and conversion progress.
- Motivate interns and ensure their outreach activities result in measurable leads and revenue.
- Conduct regular review meetings with interns and report progress to management.
4. Sales Planning & Execution
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly business development plans.
- Set clear targets for self and interns.
- Track leads, meetings, follow-ups, conversions and revenue.
- Maintain proper CRM / Excel / Google Sheet records of prospects, clients and partnerships.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth client onboarding and handover to the concerned Taxplan service team.
- Analyze sales performance and suggest improvements in strategy.
- Represent Taxplan professionally in corporate meetings, networking events, seminars and institutional discussions.

- Knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets and CRM tools.
Preferred Experience
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Corporate Tie-ups, Institutional Sales, Client Acquisition or Revenue Generation.
- Experience in fintech, taxation, CA firms, compliance services, financial services, banking, insurance, SaaS, edtech, HR services or professional services will be preferred.
- Prior experience in handling interns, field sales executives or junior sales teams will be an added advantage.
Education
Graduate / MBA / PG in Marketing, Sales, Business Management or related field.
MBA is preferred but not compulsory if the candidate has strong practical sales and business development experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a self-driven business development professional who can work closely with the founders and take ownership of revenue.
We are not looking for only a “sales talker.” We are looking for a person who can manage people, maintain reports, take regular follow-ups, convert leads, guide interns and build a proper revenue system for Taxplan.
The candidate should be mature, disciplined, target-driven and capable of representing Taxplan professionally in the market.

Role Description The Business Development & Revenue Manager will be responsible for driving client acquisition, nurturing existing relationships, and identifying new growth opportunities for RMH Advisors. This full-time, on-site role based in Virar includes developing and executing revenue strategies, preparing proposals, and presenting service offerings to prospective and current clients. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to align service delivery with client needs, tracking performance against targets, and reporting progress to leadership. The manager will also analyze market trends, participate in networking activities, and support marketing initiatives to strengthen the firm’s presence and generate qualified leads.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and negotiation capabilities.
- Candidates should possess financial and analytical skills, such as understanding accounting and tax concepts, interpreting financial data, and developing revenue forecasts.
- Candidates should possess communication and presentation skills, including clear written and verbal communication, proposal writing, and client-facing presentation abilities.
- Candidates should possess strategic and planning skills, such as market research, competitive analysis, and the ability to design and implement growth strategies.
- Candidates should possess organizational and collaboration skills, including time management, pipeline tracking, and effective coordination with internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in financial services, consulting, or professional services business development is preferred.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, productivity software, and digital platforms to manage sales activities and reporting.
