About the Role

EcoMedia Solutions Private Limited is seeking a results-driven, high-performing Business Development Manager – Sustainability SaaS to drive aggressive revenue growth by selling our proprietary Sustainability SaaS platform.

Our SaaS solution is a comprehensive, enterprise-grade platform focused on GHG accounting (Scope 1, 2 & 3), supply chain sustainability & traceability, carbon management, ESG data collection, reporting automation, and science-based target setting. It helps corporates meet BRSR, GRI, TCFD, CDP, and ISSB compliance requirements while reducing emissions and building resilient supply chains.

This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role ideal for someone who thrives on hunting new business, closing complex enterprise deals, and becoming a trusted advisor to sustainability, ESG, and procurement leaders across industries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and convert high-potential leads (target: mid-to-large corporates, listed companies, manufacturing & supply-chain heavy sectors) into paying customers.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls and needs analysis around GHG accounting, supply chain decarbonization, ESG reporting, and sustainability challenges.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, ROI presentations, and tailored value propositions of the EcoMS Sustainability SaaS platform.
  • Build and execute a robust sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to close deals with CFOs, Chief Sustainability Officers, ESG Heads, and Procurement leaders.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and become a strategic partner for their long-term sustainability journey.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal ESG Reporting team, product, and technical teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes (BRSR, GHG Protocol, CBAM, etc.) to refine positioning and win strategies.
  • Represent EcoMS at industry events, webinars, and sustainability forums to generate brand visibility and qualified leads.
  • Requirements & Qualifications

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of proven B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably in sustainability, ESG, climate-tech, carbon accounting, or enterprise software solutions.
    • Demonstrated success in selling complex SaaS platforms to enterprise clients (deal size ₹15–50+ lakhs ARR preferred).


    Track Record

    • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas with verifiable revenue achievements.
    • Candidates must clearly mention specific revenue figures in their resume and/or cover letter.


    Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong understanding of GHG accounting, Scope 1-2-3 emissions, supply chain sustainability, ESG frameworks (BRSR, GRI, TCFD), and corporate sustainability challenges.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and PPT skills – ability to present complex sustainability concepts to C-suite audiences.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce/CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and MS Office (especially PowerPoint & Excel).
    • Hunter mentality with strong prospecting and pipeline management skills.


    Education

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).


    What Will Make You Stand Out

    • Prior experience selling SaaS solutions in the sustainability/ESG/climate-tech space.
    • Existing network with Chief Sustainability Officers, ESG Heads, and procurement leaders in India.
    • Experience selling to companies preparing for BRSR reporting or global supply-chain decarbonization mandates.
    • Certifications in sustainability (e.g., GHG Protocol, GRI, CDP) or sales methodologies (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sale) will be an added advantage.
