Job Description

TYPE OF ROLE: Individual Contributor Role

LOCATION: Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore

BU/ DIVISION: Professional Lighting

JOB PURPOSE

To lead and manage business development initiatives in the solar energy sector for West India


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical sales activities for solar EPC projects (Rooftop, Ground Mount, OA & Utility)
  • Understand client requirements and prepare technical & techno-commercial proposals
  • Coordinate with Design, SCM, Finance, Legal & Projects teams for bid preparation
  • Preparation of BOQ, cost estimates, pricing strategy, and margin analysis
  • Preparation & submission of tenders, RFPs, EOIs, and RFQs
  • Conduct technical presentations and discussions with clients, consultants & developers
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client negotiations
  • Support contract finalization, scope freeze, and handover to execution team
  • Maintain sales pipeline, MIS reports, and forecasting
  • Track market trends, policy changes, and competitor movements in the solar sector
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with developers, corporates, consultants, and government bodies


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

B.E/ B.Tech (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Energy/ Instrumentation) or MBA/ PGDM (Marketing)


WORK EXPERIENCE

5 to 10 years of experience in Technical Sales / Pre-Sales / Business Development in the Solar EPC / Renewable Energy sector


PREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

Proven experience of selling 5–50 MWp of Ground Mount / Rooftop / Open Access / Utility-scale Solar projects

• Fluent in MS Office
