Business Analyst — R&D / AI Team

About the Role

You'll sit between our clients and our delivery team, turning fuzzy business asks into clear, buildable requirements. Day to day that means running the Jira board, keeping scrum ceremonies honest, and being the person clients trust to tell them what's happening and when.

We build AI-driven products and managed-services dashboards. The BA who does well here isn't just a note-taker in meetings. You'll spot the repetitive parts of your own job and automate them, whether that's a status digest, a requirements template, or a reusable prompt that drafts your first pass of a spec. If AI tools are already part of how you work, you'll fit in fast.

What You'll Do

• Own the Jira board: create and groom tickets, keep statuses accurate, and make sure nothing stalls silently.
• Run scrum ceremonies (standups, planning, retros) and keep them short and useful.
• Join client meetings, capture what they actually need, and translate it into requirements the engineering team can act on.
• Be the communication hub. Chase blockers, surface risks early, and keep both the client and the internal team on the same page.
• Write clear specs, acceptance criteria, and user stories that don't leave the dev team guessing.
• Track delivery against timelines and flag slippage before it becomes a problem.

Where AI Comes In

We expect this person to build, not just use. Some examples of what that looks like:

• Using AI to draft first-pass requirements, meeting summaries, and status reports, then editing to quality rather than starting from a blank page.
• Building reusable "skills" or prompt workflows for the repetitive parts of the role, so the same manual task doesn't eat your week twice.
• Comfortable experimenting with tools like Claude, and willing to figure out a workflow rather than wait for one to be handed over.

You don't need to be an engineer. You do need curiosity and a bias toward automating your own busywork.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years as a Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar delivery-facing role.
• Hands-on Jira experience. You know your way around workflows, boards, and reports, not just clicking through tickets.
• Strong written and spoken communication. You can run a room and write a spec that survives contact with engineers.
• Comfortable in client-facing settings and calm under a demanding client.
• Genuinely AI-friendly: you already reach for these tools and want to build with them.

Nice to Have

• Experience in agile or scrum environments (Scrum Master or PO exposure is a plus).
• Background in analytics, dashboards, or data products.
• Any track record of building small automations or internal tools, even informal ones.
