Job Description: Senior Functional Business Analyst – Technical Lead (Exp: 8- 12 Years)
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Functional Business Analyst as a Technical Lead to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams. The role is responsible for understanding business needs, analyzing processes, documenting requirements, and translating them into clear functional specifications, technical specification inputs, user stories, process flows, data requirements and acceptance criteria.
The candidate will work with business users, product owners, application teams, developers, testers, architects and vendors to ensure solutions are designed and delivered in line with business expectations, compliance requirements and IT delivery standards.
Business Requirement Analysis
Manage multiple requirements, enhancements, and project tasks while supporting rollouts and continuous process improvements.

The role is responsible for understanding business needs, analyzing processes, documenting requirements, and translating them into clear functional specifications, technical specification inputs, user stories, process flows, data requirements and acceptance criteria.
The candidate will work with business users, product owners, application teams, developers, testers, architects and vendors to ensure solutions are designed and delivered in line with business expectations, compliance requirements and IT delivery standards.
- Experience should have 8-12 Years of Senior Functional Business Analyst as a Technical Lead of which 8-12 years of total experience, including at least 6+ years in Business Analysis / Functional Analysis / Technical Business Analysis with hands-on experience converting business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Strong experience as a Functional Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or similar role
- Proven ability to convert business requirements into functional specifications and technical specification inputs
- Strong understanding of SDLC: discovery, requirements, design, build, testing, UAT, deployment and post-go-live support
- Experience preparing BRD, FSD, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mapping, traceability matrix and UAT scenarios
- Ability to understand applications, integrations, APIs, databases, reports, access flows and business process dependencies at a functional level.
- Ability to work with developers and architects to clarify logic, validations, workflow, data rules, interfaces and exception handling
- Strong process analysis, gap analysis, impact assessment and business rules documentation skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Visio, Lucid chart or equivalent
- Ability to review test coverage, support defect triage and ensure test cases are aligned to requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work independently with senior stakeholders
- Good understanding of IT governance, change management, release management and documentation control
- Takes ownership of assigned deliverables, open points and stakeholder commitments
- Understands business impact, service level expectations and quality standards
- Experience in a Global Capability Center, shared services, manufacturing, finance, procurement, supply chain, HR or enterprise IT environment
- Good understanding of ERP, SAP, ServiceNow, CRM, workflow, reporting or integration platforms
- Exposure to SQL, API concepts, data models, interface mapping, reporting logic and master data dependencies
- Knowledge of automation, Power Platform, RPA, AI-enabled process improvement or workflow digitization
- Experience with SOX, GDPR, audit controls, access controls and compliance documentation
- CBAP, CCBA, IIBA, Agile BA, Scrum Master, Product Owner or ITIL certification is preferred
- Experience working with distributed global teams across Europe, India and other regions.
Business Requirement Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, and process reviews.
- Prepare BRDs, FSDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Maintain requirement traceability, approvals, change records, and ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and internal governance.
- Work closely with business users, developers, testers, architects, and vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Review test cases, support defect resolution, coordinate UAT, and obtain business sign-offs.
- Develop expertise in business processes, applications, integrations, and data flows to assess business impacts.
Manage multiple requirements, enhancements, and project tasks while supporting rollouts and continuous process improvements.
