Job Description
We are a fast-growing food retail brand specializing in premium food products and curated gift packages for festive, corporate, and personal occasions. We’re looking for a brand custodian who can drive footfall, build brand love, and make our gift boxes the #1 choice for customers across stores and online.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning – 25%
- Own brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity across all touchpoints
- Define positioning for core retail products + seasonal gift packaging lines
- Track brand health: awareness, recall, NPS in target catchments
2. Campaign & Calendar Management – 30%
- Plan annual marketing calendar around key food retail + gifting peaks: Diwali, Eid, Christmas, New Year, Ramadan, Corporate gifting season, Wedding season
- Lead 360° campaigns: in-store POSM, social, influencer, WhatsApp, performance ads, PR
- Drive store-level promotions with operations team to increase bill value + conversion
3. Gift Package Branding & Packaging – 25%
- Conceptualize gift box themes, naming, story, and unboxing experience
- Work with design + packaging vendors on structure, artwork, print quality, cost
- Benchmark competition gifting ranges and ensure price-pack architecture is competitive
- Own photoshoots, catalogs, and B2B gifting decks for corporate clients
4. Performance & Analytics – 20%
- Set and track KPIs: Revenue from gifting, Campaign ROI, New customer %, Avg basket size
- Manage marketing budget + vendor negotiations
- Analyze sell-through data post-festive seasons and build learnings into next cycle
Must-Have Experience
1. 5-8 years in brand/marketing with at least 3 years in food retail, FMCG, or premium gifting
2. Hands-on experience in designing and launching gift packages: from concept to shelf
3. Managed campaigns that drove measurable store footfall or online sales
4. Worked with packaging development: structures, substrates, print processes, vendor mgmt
5. Strong understanding of retail POSM, planograms, and visual merchandising
Skills & Competencies
- Creative + Commercial: Can write a brand story and also read a P&L
- Festive Marketing IQ: Understands gifting triggers, price points, and last-mile urgency
- Agency Management: Briefing, evaluation, and getting best work from creatives/media
- Stakeholder Mgmt: Able to align operations, procurement, finance, and founders
Good to Have
- - Experience in corporate gifting sales + B2B catalogs
