Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced BOM Specialist with strong background in bespoke, high-end residential furniture. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop accurate and detailed Specification Sheets and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for furniture pieces. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of furniture construction, materials, hardware, upholstery, and manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on material feasibility and optimization.

This role requires close coordination with design, production and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution from design intent to final production.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all furniture items, covering:

• Materials
• Finishes
• Hardware
• Upholstery components
• Quantities and specifications

Suggest suitable, feasible, and production-friendly materials as a core responsibility, ensuring alignment with design intent and manufacturing capabilities.

Study and interpret AutoCAD furniture drawings to extract precise BOM data

(Note: Drawing development is limited to BOM extraction and specification purposes only)

Coordinate with Design, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure:

• BOM accuracy
• Material availability
• Manufacturing feasability

Optimize material usage and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or aesthetics.

Plan, define and monitor daily work targets to meet project timelines of Your Working.

Provide technical support during production, prototyping and execution stages.

Maintain high standards of documentation, accountability, and quality control within the BOM process.

Key Skills & Requirements

5-10 years of relevant experience in the furniture industry, preferably bespoke or high-end residential furniture.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.

Excellent understanding of:

• Furniture construction methods
• Wood, metal, finishes and surface treatments
• Furniture hardware and fittings
• Upholstery materials and techniques
• Manufacturing and execution processes

Proven expertise in creating accurate, detailed and production-ready BOMs.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily targets and multiple projects.

High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability and a sense ownership and accountability.

Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
