Role summary

The BDE is the engine of Digisure's new-business and account-expansion effort. You will own lead generation, qualification, pipeline building and the closing of fast-moving deals (weighbridge, SaaS, fleet/VTS, RFID, web/mobile, HR, POS), while supporting the founders on larger ERP and AI opportunities. You will also drive expansion within our existing client base — including multi-unit groups such as Balrampur Chini (10 units), DCM Shriram (5 units) and HPCL Biofuels (3 units). The first quarter is activity- and pipeline-led; revenue contribution builds from the second quarter.

Key responsibilities

•    Build and manage a target account list (installed-base expansion + net-new prospects) in the CRM (Zoho Bigin).

•    Run outbound prospecting — calls, email and LinkedIn — to sugar mills, distilleries, cooperative mills and ethanol plants.

•    Qualify leads, book and run discovery meetings, and schedule product demos with the technical team.

•    Maintain CRM hygiene and accurate, up-to-date pipeline and forecast data.

•    Drive velocity-tier deals to close; support founders through the ERP and AI sales cycle.

•    Expand within existing accounts — identify multi-unit and cross-sell opportunities (AI, RFID, fleet, modules).

•    Represent Digisure at industry events (e.g. UPSMA, sugar/agri expos) and generate qualified leads.

•    Meet monthly KPIs: accounts contacted, qualified meetings, opportunities created, pipeline value and closures.

Required qualifications & skills

•    3–5 years of B2B sales / business development experience, ideally in enterprise software / ERP / IT services, or selling into sugar, agri-processing or manufacturing industries.

•    Graduate in any discipline; MBA / PGDM is an advantage.

•    Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

•    Strong outbound prospecting skills and disciplined CRM usage.

•    Excellent communication in Hindi and English.

•    Willingness and ability to travel frequently to mills and plants across UP, Bihar and adjacent regions.

•    Comfortable engaging plant heads, IT/MIS heads and senior management (owners / CXOs).

Preferred (nice to have)

•    Prior exposure to the sugar / distillery / ethanol or broader manufacturing sector.

•    Familiarity with ERP, weighbridge, RFID, fleet/VTS or analytics solutions.

•    An existing network in the UP / Bihar cane belt.

•    Exposure to AI / data analytics or BI (Power BI) solution selling.

What success looks like (first 90 days)

•    Month 1 — learn the product and vertical; CRM live with the target account list loaded.

•    Month 2 — 30 new accounts contacted; ~15 qualified meetings; first quick-win deal.

•    Month 3 — 2–3 velocity deals closed; qualified pipeline of ₹50 L+ built.
