AutoCAD Designer / Engineer – ELV Systems

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Designer / Engineer (ELV Systems) to develop detailed technical drawings for IT, AV, Security, and Structured Cabling systems using AutoCAD. The role involves coordination with MEP and architectural teams, preparation of BOQs and technical specifications, and support during site installation and commissioning.

The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD drafting skills and a solid understanding of extra-low voltage (ELV) systems for building projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting

• Develop concept, schematic, and detailed design drawings for ELV systems, including:
• CCTV
• AV systems
• IT systems
• Security systems
• Structured cabling

Documentation

• Prepare technical documentation such as:
• System layouts
• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• SD sets
• Tender drawings
• Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP)
• BOQs and technical specifications

Coordination

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and MEP teams to ensure smooth integration of ELV systems.
• Identify and resolve design clashes during the coordination stage.

Compliance

• Ensure all designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and project requirements.

Site Support

• Review site conditions and respond to technical queries.
• Provide support during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Quality Control

• Carry out quality checks on drawings and documentation.
• Revise drawings based on redline markups.
• Prepare accurate as-built drawings upon project completion.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Knowledge of ELV systems design is essential.
• Familiarity with Revit MEP will be an added advantage.
• Strong coordination and documentation skills.

Experience

• 1 to 2 years of experience AutoCAD design.
• Experience in projects such as hotels, airports, hospitals, malls, corporate buildings, or similar large-scale developments will be an added advantage.
