Role Description The Senior Interior Designer - Projects will lead end-to-end design for residential and commercial interiors, from concept development through project completion, in a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. Responsibilities include meeting clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts and mood boards, preparing detailed layouts and drawings, and selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E. The role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, overseeing site execution, and ensuring design integrity, timelines, and quality standards are maintained. The Senior Interior Designer - Projects will also mentor junior designers, review design documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards at Silver Storey.
Qualifications

• Strong interior design and space planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically pleasing residential and commercial environments.
• Knowledge of architecture principles and coordination with structural, MEP, and other design disciplines for integrated project delivery.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing construction drawings, detailed layouts, and technical documentation for on-site execution.
• Expertise in FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment, aligned with project budget and design intent.
• Advanced skills in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with visualization tools.
• Proven experience managing interior projects from concept to completion, including vendor coordination, site supervision, and quality control.
• Excellent communication, client management, and team leadership abilities, with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with substantial experience in interior projects; experience in the Kolkata or Indian market is an advantage.
