About the Role

• AfterQuery is seeking Audit Accountant Experts to create and refine auditing challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate audit scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex auditing principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world financial statement audits, internal controls evaluation, and compliance verification with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between proven audit practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of audit technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality audit questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as audit planning, risk assessment, internal controls testing, substantive procedures, evidence evaluation, audit documentation, fraud detection, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to auditing standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with a team of audit and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an auditor or in audit operations with a robust understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and internal control frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Required Skills

• Multiple years of audit experience, ideally across diverse audit types (financial statement audits, internal audits, compliance audits, operational audits, etc.).
• Prior involvement in audit training, professional standards development, or audit technology initiatives.
• CPA license, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or master's degree in accounting is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven audit applications is a plus.
