Associate Legal Counsel

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: 2–4 years PQE

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Associate Legal Counsel to join our Legal team based in Gurgaon.

This is a hands-on commercial role with a strong focus on vendor contracting and confidentiality agreements. You'll work closely with Procurement, IT, Security, and business stakeholders to review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of vendor agreements and NDAs, helping the business move quickly while managing legal risk in a pragmatic, business-friendly way.

This is a great opportunity for a lawyer early in their in-house career who wants hands-on exposure to commercial contracting in a fast-growing, global technology company.

What You'll Do

Vendor Contracting & NDAs

• Draft, review and negotiate vendor and procurement agreements, with a strong focus on turnaround speed and commercial pragmatism
• Draft, review and negotiate NDAs (mutual, unilateral, and vendor-specific) as a core, high-volume part of the role
• Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk arising from vendor and confidentiality arrangements
• Partner with Procurement, IT, and Security teams to enable efficient vendor onboarding and deal execution
• Maintain and improve vendor contract and NDA templates and playbooks

Contract Review & Legal Support

• Review contracts per the mandatory contract review process and provide practical, risk-based advice to business teams
• Support customer contract negotiation as needed, working alongside senior members of the Legal team
• Support RFx responses and submissions
• Prioritize and manage a high-volume workload under deadline pressure

Legal Operations

• Support continuous improvement and updating of form agreements, including vendor and NDA templates
• Develop and maintain internal processes to track legal-supported transactions from beginning to end
• Support metric and dashboard reporting to measure performance against team goals
• Coordinate agreement approvals and execution, track documents, and maintain status reports
• Support the ongoing business user adoption and administration of Sirion-on-Sirion

What You'll Need

Essential

• 2–4 years of proven commercial contract experience, with substantial exposure to vendor/procurement contracting and NDAs
• Admission to practice in India or another common law jurisdiction
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently on vendor agreements and NDAs
• Ability to communicate concisely and confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including senior business partners
• High energy, responsive and agile working style aligned with a global business operating across multiple time zones
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, client-oriented and dynamic team environment
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail

Highly Desirable

• In-house experience gained in a technology environment; ideally in a high-growth enterprise Cloud or SaaS provider
• Prior experience managing a high volume of vendor agreements and/or NDAs independently
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms or legal workflow tools
• Exposure to using AI tools to support contract review and drafting
