Key Responsibilities

Editorial & Content Development

• Research, write, and edit high-quality feature articles, industry reports, interviews, opinion pieces, and news stories.
• Develop compelling content for the Maritime Gateway magazine, website, newsletters, blogs, and digital platforms.
• Interview CXOs, policymakers, industry experts, and business leaders.
• Ensure all editorial content is accurate, engaging, fact-checked, and aligned with the publication's editorial standards.
• Collaborate with the design team on magazine layouts and visual storytelling.

Industry Research & Thought Leadership

• Monitor developments in maritime, ports, logistics, shipping, supply chain, sustainability, and trade.
• Research market trends, government policies, technological advancements, and industry innovations.
• Generate editorial ideas that position Maritime Gateway as a trusted knowledge platform.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, contributors, and subject-matter experts.

Digital Media & Audience Engagement

• Plan and execute digital content strategies across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
• Create and distribute newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional content.
• Repurpose editorial content into digital formats including social media posts, infographics, short-form articles, and videos.
• Optimize digital content for SEO, website engagement, and audience growth.
• Monitor analytics and recommend improvements to enhance digital performance.

Event Coverage

• Represent Maritime Gateway at conferences, exhibitions, summits, and industry events.
• Produce live coverage, interviews, event reports, and post-event articles.
• Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and partners for editorial opportunities.

Editorial Leadership

• Mentor junior writers and interns.
• Review, edit, and provide feedback on content produced by the editorial team.
• Contribute to editorial planning and content calendars.
• Ensure consistency in tone, quality, and brand voice across all platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in journalism, editorial, publishing, B2B media, or digital content.
• Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent command of English grammar, style, and editorial standards.
• Experience managing newsletters, digital media, and content management systems (CMS).
• Strong understanding of SEO, social media, and digital publishing best practices.
• Knowledge of the maritime, shipping, logistics, infrastructure, or trade sectors will be a significant advantage.
