Role Description The junior Quantity Surveyor role at DALMAF Private Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves assisting in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), supporting cost planning and estimation for projects, and helping monitor budgets throughout the project lifecycle. The junior Quantity Surveyor will contribute to cost control measures, collect and analyze project data, and assist in preparing cost reports for internal and client review. Daily work includes coordinating with senior team members, collaborating with project and finance teams, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that cost-related documentation is complete and up to date. The role also requires adherence to company procedures, participation in meetings, and continuous learning of quantity surveying best practices.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in cost management, including Cost Control and Cost Management skills.
  • Ability to prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) with attention to detail.
  • Experience or academic exposure to Cost Planning for construction or professional services projects.
  • Capability to assist with Cost Reporting, including data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction practices, contracts, and project workflows.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software tools used for estimation and reporting.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work under the guidance of senior professionals.
