Role Description The Assistant Professor – School of Drama & Acting will teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in acting, performance techniques, and related subjects in a full-time capacity. This on-site role, based in Noida, involves designing and delivering lectures, practical workshops, and studio sessions that foster performance skills, creativity, and critical thinking. The role includes mentoring and advising students on projects, productions, and career development, as well as evaluating performances and providing constructive feedback. The Assistant Professor will also participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, auditions, and institute-wide cultural events and productions. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating with industry professionals, contributing to institutional outreach, and engaging in scholarly or creative work related to drama and acting.
Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of acting methodologies, performance theory, and drama pedagogy, with the ability to translate these into engaging classroom and studio instruction.
• Demonstrated experience in stage performance, direction, or production, preferably with a portfolio of theatre or screen work.
• Strong classroom management, mentoring, and student engagement skills, with a learner-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners.
• Master’s degree or higher in Drama, Theatre Arts, Acting, or a closely related field from a recognized institution; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with contemporary trends in theatre, film, and digital performance, and openness to integrating new media and techniques into teaching.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and academic quality processes within the School of Drama & Acting.
• Willingness to support rehearsals, performances, festivals, and institutional events that may occur beyond standard class hours.
