Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in their subject area. The role includes preparing lesson plans, developing course materials, evaluating student performance through assignments and examinations, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The Assistant Professor will participate in curriculum development, engage in research and scholarly activities, and contribute to departmental initiatives and institutional committees. Additional responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the discipline, supporting student projects, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. This is a full-time, on-site role located at Truba Group of Institutes in Bhopal.
Qualifications
  • Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.E./M.Tech, M.Pharm, MBA, M.Com, or equivalent) in the discipline of appointment; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral enrollment is preferred.
  • Strong teaching-related skills, including classroom instruction, lesson planning, student assessment, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Research aptitude, including the ability to design studies, publish in academic journals, guide student research projects, and participate in conferences and seminars.
  • Proficiency in academic communication, including scholarly writing, presentation skills, and effective interaction with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to student-centric learning, mentorship, and fostering critical thinking, creativity, and ethical values in an inclusive academic environment.
  • Ability to use educational technology and learning management systems for course delivery, assessment, and academic administration.
  • Prior teaching or academic experience at the college or university level is an advantage; industry experience relevant to the discipline is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple academic responsibilities and contribute to departmental activities.
