We are looking for an experienced dynamic person to shoulder the responsibility of assistant manager service in mechanical as well instrumentation field for GAP India.
This position will be based in India and will report to National Operations Manager-Aftermarket.
Principle Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Perform day-to-day field service activities as scheduled by National Technical Support Manager & National Operations Manager

Job Description

Principle Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Perform day-to-day field service activities as scheduled by National Technical Support Manager & National Operations Manager
Service performance
- Handle GAP Equipment’s critical domestic/international service interventions with full customer satisfaction and quality
- Coordinate with Product Company for any product related issues till successful closure of problems
- Perform all the intervention for product company standard and guidelines. In order to improve service standard to the international standard
- Perform service interventions in an efficient manner (First Time Fix the problem) in strict compliance with operating procedures and manuals.
- Ensuring service and maintenance standards for the Gas and process machines are maintained to the highest practical level.
- Improve utilization hours.
- To pass on the business lead generated, to the sales engineer both for aftermarket products and equipment.
- Support, train, and coach field service team to upgrade the quality of services, to resolve technical problems, keep them updated with relevant technical information.
- Strengthen mechanical/instrumentation competency of service engineers and develop them on job practical knowledge during various critical service intervention.
- Organize expertise training and create competency within service Mechanical/instrumentation group on PLC program’s hot loop checking/ simulations for different PLC products (AB/Siemens/BN).
- Train and develop to trouble shoot various Mechanical/ instrumentation related critical problems reported from various sites.
- Do erection & commissioning and start up for GAP products.
- Ensuring optimal performance and uptime. PLC & SCADA Integration: Programmed PLCs and facilitated Modbus communication with customer SCADA/DCS systems for comprehensive control and monitoring.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Expert in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation faults, including VSDs/Turbines.
- Proficient in Rockwell
- Automation PLC programming, SCADA design, HMI design and compliance with regulatory standards. Skilled in PLC programming, SCADA design, HMI design,troubleshooting, commissioning and delivering innovative solutions to enhance
- operational efficiency and reliability.
- Follow product company protocol and efficiently solve technical problems during process
- Efficient coordination with customer as well to project manager during process
- Complete closure of the site and hand over in line with agreed performance
- Strategies and act to protect commercial interest with customer
- Timely reporting of warranty complaints and product quality related issues,
- Escalation of customer feedback
- To interact with engineering for early solutions to technical issues.
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Instrumentation and related Engineering with around 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Good IT skills
- Technical competence and knowledge of Gas and Process products in the field of service mechanical/instrumentation and PLC control
- Maturity and ability to interact and handle customer / parent company
- Problem solving ability
- Good communication/coordination skill
