Role Description The Assistant General Manager Sales is a full-time, on-site role based at Krishna’s Courtyard in Cuttack. This role is responsible for driving room and banquet sales, building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel partners, and direct guests. Day-to-day activities include identifying new business opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth coordination with operations and front office teams for successful event and stay execution. The Assistant General Manager Sales will track sales performance, prepare regular reports, support promotional campaigns, and contribute to pricing and packaging strategies. This role also involves mentoring sales team members, addressing guest feedback related to sales and events, and representing Krishna’s Courtyard at local networking and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Sales skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing, ideally within hospitality or event management.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills to manage guest expectations, resolve issues promptly, and enhance overall experience.
  • Candidates should possess General Management capabilities, including planning, coordination, and decision-making aligned with business goals.
  • Candidates should possess Team Management skills to guide, motivate, and develop sales and client service teams.
  • Relevant experience in hotel, resort, or banquet sales, with knowledge of local Cuttack market and corporate/event segments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to work with CRM or sales management tools, and basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proactive, results-oriented approach with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and guest-centric practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel industry .
