The Role

We are looking for an energetic, disciplined, and hard-working Assistant Chef to join our in-house kitchen team. In this role, you will work directly under our Head Chef to prepare and serve healthy, high-quality meals (Lunch, Evening Snacks, and Dinner) for our 150+ employees. We are hiring two assistant chefs to handle our daily operations seamlessly- one will be assigned to the morning shift and the other to the evening shift based on operational decisions. If you have a passion for cooking, follow directions perfectly, and maintain flawless kitchen hygiene, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the Head Chef: Report directly to the Head Chef and assist in high-volume cooking and meal production for 150+ people daily.

2. Pre-production: Handle all raw material preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and prepping meats or spices exactly as instructed.

3. Shift Ownership: Take full responsibility for kitchen activities during your assigned shift (Morning or Evening), ensuring meals are ready and served strictly on time.

4. Cuisine Assistance: Help prepare a balanced mix of both North Indian and South Indian daily menus.

5. Hygiene Enforcement: Maintain strict cleanliness at your workstation. Ensure tools, knives, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly washed and sanitized before and after use.

6. Helper Coordination: Direct and work alongside the kitchen helper to ensure quick cleaning chores and smooth kitchen workflows.

7. Shift Handover: Maintain a clean and organized handover for the next shift assistant chef, ensuring stock and prep work are properly stored.

Ideal Candidate Profile & Qualifications

1. Contract Duration: 1-Year Contract (Renewable annually based on performance).

2. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, corporate cafeteria, or cloud kitchen.

3. Reporting & Discipline: Ability to follow recipes, guidelines, and instructions from the Head Chef with absolute precision.

4. Cuisine Knowledge: Basic hands-on familiarity with cooking both North Indian and South Indian daily food.

5. Language Skills: Fluency in at least one of these languages is mandatory: Hindi, Kannada, or English (to ensure smooth and clear coordination within the kitchen team).

6. Shift Flexibility: Compulsory requirement to work a dedicated 10-hour shift. Must be open to being assigned to either the Morning Shift or Evening Shift depending on management decisions.

7. Hygiene Focused: Deep understanding of personal hygiene, clean food handling practices, and kitchen sanitation.
