Role Description The Articled Assistant internship role at Singh Tatar & Company is an on-site position based in Nashik. The Articled Assistant will assist with statutory and internal audits, tax computations, and preparation of working papers and documentation. Daily tasks may include maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, supporting GST and income tax filings, and performing basic reconciliations and data analysis. The role also involves coordinating with team members, gathering information from clients, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of assignments under supervision. Interns will be guided by senior professionals and will receive hands-on training aligned with their professional coursework.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation.
  • Candidates should possess skills in audit support activities, including working paper preparation, documentation, and basic compliance checks.
  • Candidates should possess basic tax-related skills, such as familiarity with income tax and GST concepts, and an interest in learning regulatory requirements.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools, with the ability to perform data entry, analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Enrollment in or completion of relevant professional courses (such as CA foundation or intermediate level) is highly beneficial.
