Company Description Chhapolika & Company is a Chartered Accountancy firm established in December 2016, providing comprehensive services in accounting, audit, advisory, legal, taxation, and corporate law. Role Description The Articled Assistant will work on a full-time, on-site basis at the firm’s office in Noida. The role involves assisting in accounting, statutory, tax, internal, and special audits, monthly/quarterly closing, and preparation of financial statements and working papers. The Articled Assistant will help in direct and indirect tax compliance, including preparation of returns, TDS/TCS workings, GST filings, and documentation for refunds and assessments. Responsibilities also include supporting ROC and FEMA compliances, preparing documentation for loans and other banking facilities, and assisting with international taxation and cross-border transactions. The role requires regular interaction with team members and clients, maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines, and adhering to professional and ethical standards set by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing Articleship / eligible to register as an Articled Assistant under ICAI, with a strong academic record in commerce, accounting, or related fields.
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting standards, bookkeeping, financial statements, and monthly/quarterly closing processes.
  • Basic understanding of direct and indirect taxation, including income tax, TDS/TCS, GST, and exposure or interest in international taxation and cross-border compliance.
  • Interest or exposure in audit processes such as statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, IFC audit, and related documentation and testing of controls.
  • Ability to use MS Excel, Word, and accounting/ERP or tax software; willingness to learn new tools and compliance platforms.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and research skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation quality.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact professionally with clients.
