Job Description

Job Brief

To handle team of Sales Officers and DECs to ensure that the sales targets of the company for the area are met on time.


Min Experience: 6-10 years

  • Education Post Graduate with a degree in Business Management (M.B.A.)

Location: Vishakhapatnam.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor the daily sales of the Area to ensure that the sales targets are met on time
  • Split the target for the territory keeping in mind the historical trends and future expectations
  • Keep a continuous track of the day to day sales and calls made to make sure that the sales targets are on track
  • Have monthly review meetings to analyze the performance
  • Submit periodic reports detailing activities/sales volumes/expenses
  • Identify potential areas for increasing the distribution and business
  • Decision on increasing routes, RDS manpower and Infrastructure etc in order to strengthen distribution.
  • Communicate with peers and managers to share ideas and concepts in order to benefit the channel as a whole.
  • Generate ideas on promotional activities and discuss with the GM
  • Implement promotional ideas like demos, survey etc.
  • Collect any data required by the marketing department from the surveys, promotions etc.
  • Meet with Sales Officers weekly to review performance against budgets and targets; and identify performance strengths and weaknesses
  • Motivate team by building capabilities through coaching the Sales Officers on their development needs and continuous guidance in their work.
  • Continuous training and feedback to RDS and salesman on the various aspects of sales and distribution to help them improve productivity
  • Provide management with feedback on the customer needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities, and potential for new products
  • Requirements

    • Work experience as a Area Sales Manager
    • Familiarity with FMCG industry is a plus
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Resilient with a proven track record in sales
