Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role is responsible for overseeing sales and distribution activities within an assigned territory, ensuring achievement of business targets and growth in life insurance product penetration. Day-to-day tasks include managing and supporting a team of sales professionals, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to drive new business and renewals. The Area Manager will build and maintain relationships with key partners and customers, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. The role also involves conducting regular market analysis, training team members on products and processes, and preparing reports for leadership on area performance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in sales management, territory planning, and target achievement in financial services or insurance.
  • Strong abilities in team leadership, coaching, performance monitoring, and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Competence in market analysis, business development, and customer engagement to drive growth in assigned region.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and local languages as needed.
  • Comfort with data analysis, basic reporting tools, and use of CRM or sales tracking systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in life insurance, banking, or financial services, particularly in area or branch management roles.
  • Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, travel within the assigned territory, and adapt to a dynamic, target-driven environment.
