Role Brief:
The Premier Acquisition Manager (PAM) is a pure hunter role within the company's Wealth Acquisition Desk. The singular mandate is to identify, engage, qualify, and onboard To-Be HNI, HNI, and UHNI clients. This is not a portfolio management role once a client is onboarded, the relationship and portfolio transfer in full to the Advisory Team, freeing the PAM to focus entirely on acquisition
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect Identification & Outreach:
- Network Prospecting: Research and engage prospective clients via club memberships, founder networks, CA/CS referrals, alumni bodies, and premium community events.
- Warm Outreach: Initiate contact through introductions and referrals. No cold approach to UHNIs under any circumstances.
- Pipeline Building: Maintain an active CRM pipeline of 30+ qualified prospects at all times. Stage, next-action, and probability to be current every day.
- Discovery & Onboarding:
- Discovery Conversations: Conduct structured 45 - 60-minute discovery meetings with advisory team. Understand financial goals, corpus, risk appetite, and current advisory relationships. No product pitch in meeting one.
- Onboarding Coordination: Drive KYC, risk profiling, fee agreement, and documentation to completion within 7 working days of sign-off. Coordinate with Operations and Compliance.
- Advisory Team Handover: Brief the Advisory Team comprehensively on each client - goals, corpus, family context, sensitivities.
- Network & Community Development:
- Referral Partnerships: Develop and maintain active relationships with CA firms, corporate lawyers, and startup CFOs.
- Community Presence: Represent company at premium events — Clubs, golf days, founder dinners, CII/FICCI sessions, and apartment community events.
- Market Intelligence: Report competitor insights, prospect feedback, and market signals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Requirements:
- Graduate/Post graduate degree from a recognised university in any discipline.
- Fresher or Minimum 1-5 years of experience in client acquisition, relationship management, or business development in a premium, high-touch client environment.
- Demonstrable experience engaging with or serving affluent / HNI / UHNI individuals.
- NISM Series V-A certification - to be obtained within 90 days of joining if not held at offer.
- Strong English communication - written and verbal at a level appropriate for boardroom and club-level conversations.
- Comfort with CRM tools, digital communication platforms, and basic financial literacy.
Traditional Backgrounds – Banking and Wealth Management:
- MBA from a Tier-1/Tier-2 institution with specialisation in Finance, Banking, or Marketing.
- CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) or CWM® (Chartered Wealth Manager) certification.
- AMFI ARN registration active at time of joining.
- Experience in mutual fund distribution, PMS/AIF sales, or insurance planning for affluent clients.
Non-Traditional Backgrounds:
Preferred Background:
Luxury Hotel & Hospitality Management:
- Front-office leadership, VVIP guest relations, and event hosting for HNIs. Deep experience handling high-net-worth individuals with discretion, poise, and personalised service. Transferable relationship depth and executive presence.
Fashion & Luxury Retail Management:
- Experience selling premium and luxury goods to HNI clientele. Strong brand positioning intuition, refined communication style, and understanding of affluent consumer psychology.
Premium Aviation & Cabin Crew:
- Regular interaction with CXOs, promoters, and UHNI travellers. Polished communication, composure under pressure, and discretion in handling high-value individuals.
Event & Experience Management:
- Experience managing exclusive events, brand experiences, and high-net-worth gatherings. Deep community and vendor network within the premium segment.
Luxury Automobile Sales:
- Experience selling premium vehicles (Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Land Rover, BMW M-Series) to HNI/UHNI buyers. Demonstrated ability to close high-ticket transactions with affluent individuals.
Fine Jewellery, Art & Auction Houses:
- High-trust, discretion-led selling to UHNIs with significant investable surplus. Experience with family relationships, gifting patterns, and generational wealth conversations.
Real Estate (Premium / Luxury Segment):
- Experience selling or leasing ultra-luxury residential or commercial properties. HNI/UHNI network, understanding of wealth-as-real-estate behaviour, and high-value deal experience.
Premium Wellness & Private Clubs:
- Club management, premium gym chains (Gold's, Cult Pro), spa and resort operations serving HNI members. Existing network among affluent community members.
Sports Management & Athlete Management:
- Managing professional athletes, cricket/IPL environments, or premium sports events. Network access to high-earning sportspersons, promoters, and corporate sponsors.
Corporate PR & Luxury Brand Communications:
- Senior PR executives or brand managers for luxury brands (LVMH, Reliance Brands, Tata CLiQ Luxury). Deep relationships with fashion, entertainment, and corporate HNI communities.
