Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mysore. The Accountant will manage daily financial transactions, including recording sales, purchases, expenses, and payments in the company’s accounting systems. Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling ledgers, maintaining accurate inventory and asset records, and supporting periodic closing and financial reporting. The role also involves handling bank reconciliations, monitoring cash flow, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations, and preparing documentation for audits. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial insights, support budgeting, and help maintain transparent, reliable financial records for the jewelry business.
Qualifications

• Strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, with the ability to maintain accurate digital and physical records.
• Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic audit procedures applicable to retail and jewelry businesses.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and a high level of integrity in handling financial information and cash transactions.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with sales, management, and external partners.
• Relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in retail, jewelry, or small business accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work on-site in Mysore, manage time effectively, and handle peak business periods and seasonal workload.
