Role Title: Account Recovery Specialist


Role Summary

The Account Recovery Specialist is responsible for secure, compliant recovery of Google and GCP accounts. This role involves high‑judgment decision‑making, strict adherence to security and privacy policies, and empathetic communication during high‑impact, high‑stress customer situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Google Account and GCP Account Recovery cases end‑to‑end
  • Validate identity, authorization, and domain ownership using approved frameworks
  • Execute recovery workflows with zero tolerance for policy deviation
  • Detect and mitigate fraud, social engineering, and unauthorized access attempts
  • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation of recovery actions
  • Escalate high‑risk or non‑standard cases appropriately
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers during critical incidents
  • Adhere to authentication standards, SLOs, and security policies

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of GCP admin roles, domain ownership, and recovery workflows and familiar with GCP admin console
  • High judgment decision‑making under ambiguity
  • Fraud detection and prevention capabilities
  • Excellent documentation and attention to detail
  • Calm, professional communication during sensitive scenarios

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in Account Recovery, Account Security, or equivalent high‑trust support role
  • Strong knowledge on GCP Admin consoles and GCP products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent
  • Certification (Mandatory):
  • Associate Google Workspace Administrator
  • Language: CEFR B2 English proficiency
