Role Description The Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. In this position, the counselor will engage with prospective and current learners to understand their academic background, career goals, and learning needs, and guide them toward suitable programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions via phone, video, and in person, providing detailed information about courses, admission processes, and timelines, and supporting learners through application and enrollment. The counselor will maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow up with leads, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth learner experience. The role also involves monitoring learner progress, addressing academic concerns, and offering ongoing guidance to help learners stay on track with their educational and career objectives.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to guide learners effectively through program selection and enrollment.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact clearly, empathetically, and professionally with diverse learners and stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to help learners align educational choices with long-term career paths and opportunities.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education systems and higher education programs, preferably within the EdTech or management education space.
• Relevant skills such as active listening, problem-solving, and relationship-building are beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, or student support within an educational or EdTech environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work with targets, use CRM or student management systems, and adapt to a fast-paced, learner-centric setting is desirable.
