Role And Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement the direct marketing strategy for life insurance products within the assigned zone.
- Ensure alignment with the company’s overall sales and marketing objectives.
- Design and execute campaigns aimed at acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
- Optimize lead generation, conversion strategies, and marketing spend in the region.
- Lead and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers, Area Heads and front-line Relationship Managers, and support staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of motivation and productivity.
- Establish clear goals and KPIs, ensuring team alignment with organizational targets.
- Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on individual and team growth.
- Drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities through direct marketing channels (e.g., telemarketing, Sales).
- Manage end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation to closing deals, and ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Oversee market penetration, expanding the company's presence and market share in your region.
- Analyse competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop strategies to attract new customers and build long-term relationships.
- Implement customer retention programs to maximize lifetime value (LTV).
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service delivery, complaint resolution, and regular follow-ups.
- Manage the zonal P&L, ensuring effective budget allocation for marketing and sales campaigns.
- Analyse and report on performance metrics such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion rates, and sales targets.
- Regularly review financial reports to optimize costs and improve profitability.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development in the life insurance industry.
- At least 8-10 years in a leadership role, managing a direct marketing or sales team.
- Proven experience in managing zonal sales targets, P&L, and driving growth through direct marketing channels.
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of direct marketing strategies, tools, and techniques.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret key performance metrics.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in CRM software, marketing automation tools, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
