Key Responsibilities ? Lead and mentor the WordPress development team to ensure high-quality, maintainable code and adherence to best practices. ? Architect, develop, and maintain complex custom WordPress websites and applications. ? Oversee custom theme and plugin development, API integrations, and architecture planning. ? Conduct regular code reviews and technical upskilling sessions. ? Drive internal innovation during low-utilization periods through R&D, reusable components, and performance audits. ? Collaborate with design, content, and project management teams to deliver seamless user experiences. ? Manage version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments. ? Implement performance optimization strategies for speed, responsiveness, and scalability. ? Ensure compliance with WordPress security best practices. ? Provide technical leadership on Woo Commerce projects and ecommerce architecture. ? Troubleshoot and resolve complex WordPress and integration-related issues. Required Skills & Qualifications ? 8+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience. ? Deep expertise in theme and plugin development/customization. ? Strong proficiency in ACF, WooCommerce, AJAX, and custom post types. ? Solid understanding of MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6, REST APIs, and UI/UX collaboration. ? Experience developing custom Gutenberg blocks. ? Knowledge of headless WordPress using REST API or GraphQL. ? Proven ability in performance optimization (caching, lazy loading, asset magnification). ? Expertise in WordPress security and scalability. ? Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and automated deployment workflows. ? Leadership experience with a focus on mentorship and innovation. ? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ? Experience collaborating with international clients.
