Myra Multimedia Enterprise Pvt. Ltd. is a Mumbai-based multi venture media company. We’re currently building a large-scale discovery platform and are looking to collaborate with an experienced WordPress Backend Engineer / Architect to review and strengthen the technical foundation of the platform.

Role Description

The engagement will focus on:

Backend architecture review

Custom Post Types & database structure

Performance and scalability assessment

Plugin dependency and system optimization

Technical audit and recommendations for future growth

This is a project-based role involving short-term onsite collaboration with our core team in Mumbai during the architecture audit phase.

We’re specifically looking for professionals who have experience working on high-traffic WordPress platforms, directories, or marketplace-style systems and can provide clear architectural guidance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in WordPress backend development or architecture.

Strong experience with Custom Post Types, taxonomies, and WordPress database structure.

Proven ability to audit and optimize WordPress platforms for performance and scalability.

Experience handling large datasets or directory / marketplace-style platforms.

Solid understanding of WP_Query optimisation, post meta limitations, and database indexing.

Experience designing custom backend solutions instead of relying on plugin-heavy setups.

Familiarity with performance tools, caching strategies, and scalable hosting environments.

Good understanding of WordPress security best practices and clean coding standards.

Ability to analyse existing architecture and provide actionable recommendations for long-term scalability.

Comfortable collaborating with a product team during technical audits and architecture reviews.

Note: The platform being built requires clean architecture, scalable enquiry handling, and efficient data structures, so experience with performance-sensitive WordPress systems is essential.
