About the JobWe are hiring an experienced Wellness Counsellor / School Counsellor for a reputed school located in Bachupally, Hyderabad. We are looking for a dedicated mental health professional with strong clinical knowledge and hands-on counselling experience in a school environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about working with children and adolescents and be capable of independently handling day-to-day counselling responsibilities within the school.
Role DescriptionThe Wellness Counsellor will be responsible for promoting the emotional, behavioural, social, and psychological well-being of students. The candidate must possess strong clinical knowledge and practical counselling experience and should be confident in managing student cases independently.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions for students experiencing emotional, behavioural, academic, or social challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention and immediate psychological support whenever required.
- Apply clinical psychology principles to assess students' concerns and formulate appropriate intervention plans.
- Observe, assess, and monitor students' emotional and behavioural development.
- Work closely with children and adolescents on a daily basis, providing continuous psychological and emotional support.
- Conduct case assessments, maintain confidential case notes, and document counselling progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to develop effective intervention strategies for students.
- Identify learning, behavioural, emotional, and mental health concerns and recommend appropriate support plans.
- Conduct classroom observations whenever required.
- Plan and facilitate workshops on mental health, emotional regulation, stress management, bullying prevention, life skills, and overall student well-being.
- Support students with anxiety, emotional regulation, peer relationships, self-esteem, academic stress, and behavioural challenges.
- Participate in parent counselling sessions and provide guidance on supporting children's emotional and behavioural needs.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and adhere to ethical counselling practices.
- Build a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment that promotes student well-being.
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Psychology (Regular/Full-time).
- Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (Regular/Full-time).
- Distance education qualifications will not be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a School Counsellor.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting counselling sessions with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and counselling skills.
- Excellent knowledge of child psychology, developmental psychology, psychopathology, and evidence-based counselling interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation, and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and school management.
Location: Bachupally, Hyderabad
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Relocation: Candidates must be willing to relocate to Bachupally, Hyderabad, if required.
