As a Senior Web Developer, you will build and customize web solutions within the Blackbaud Luminate

platform. You enjoy solving complex problems and addressing issues in a thoughtful

and creative manner. You bring strong knowledge of web development best practices and you

communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders while resolving issues in

a timely and professional way.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve defects in Production environments in a timely manner
• Proactively suggest improvements to customizations and processes that enhance the client experience or improve performance
• Actively participate in the maintenance and support of customizations
• Work with customer and internal stakeholders to understand and document project requirements
• Collaborate with team on the technical design of solutions and on defect resolution
• Keep up to date on the latest technical developments in your area
• Ensure compliance with Web standards and accessibility requirements.
• Work closely with product management and other team members to coordinate implementation and provide progress updates for client work
• Ensure that robust high-quality code standards are maintained in the development process.
• Manage work across multiple clients at a time
  
  

What We’ll Want You To Have

• 5 to 7 years of experience in front-end web development
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies, including HTML and CSS
• Experience using CSS preprocessors such as SASS or SCSS
• Solid working knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience developing applications with modern frameworks;
• Angular preferred, with React experience a plus
• Ability to work effectively within and modernize legacy frameworks and codebases
• Comfortable consuming and integrating with APIs
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail when implementing, reviewing, and refining web solutions
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git and continuous integration systems.
• Understanding of accessibility best practices proactively to ensure inclusive, compliant, and high‑quality user interfaces
• General understanding of User Experience (UX) and web design principles and how they influence implementation
• Comfortable using Quality Assurance and testing tools to validate functionality and user experience
• Experienced in creating and maintaining documentation that enables team alignment and knowledge sharing

• Learn the Luminate Online platform, including its key features and functionality; understand how non-profit organizations use it to raise money and further their missions
• Learn the product configurations and settings that are commonly used by clients
• Deliver code which meets consistent standards of quality, security and operability.
• Learn and use new AI technologies
• Can explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to customers
• Can conduct discovery calls with clients to discern business and technical requirements for development work
• Can analyze and understand existing implementations to make updates within existing structures
• Find creative and efficient solutions to enhance product functionality
• Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities
