The Senior Data Platform Engineer designs and maintains scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms supporting the NAS AI Ecosystem. The role enables enterprise data ingestion, processing, storage, governance, and analytics to support AI/ML workloads and advanced analytics initiatives.

Job Profile Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise-grade data platforms for structured and unstructured data
• Build and optimize batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines
• Develop and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse architectures
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and compliance
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, and cost
• Enable AI/ML feature stores and training datasets
• Implement data security, encryption, and access controls
• Automate workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD
• Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot pipelines
• Contribute to platform standards and documentation
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering and platform development
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse
• Experience with Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, Spark, or Fivetran
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT and distributed data processing
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, and Git

• Experience supporting AI/ML or analytics platforms
• Knowledge of data governance and metadata tools
• Experience with real-time or streaming architectures
• Cloud or data platform certifications
