As the Assistant Manager – Visual Merchandising, you will lead the visual merchandising vision across store formats, ensuring every retail touchpoint delivers a premium, engaging, and commercially effective customer experience.

This role goes beyond creating displays—you will define VM strategies, establish merchandising standards, translate brand campaigns into compelling in-store experiences, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life across multiple markets.


Key Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising Strategy

  • Define and drive the overall visual merchandising strategy across retail formats.
  • Develop merchandising frameworks, display principles, planograms, and zoning strategies that enhance customer navigation and product visibility.
  • Establish VM guidelines and standards to ensure consistent brand execution across stores.

Store Experience & Creative Direction

  • Conceptualize and develop impactful window displays, in-store communication, feature zones, and seasonal merchandising concepts.
  • Create visually engaging retail experiences that align with brand positioning while maximizing commercial performance.
  • Ensure consistency in storytelling and customer experience across all physical retail touchpoints.

Campaign & Product Launch Execution

  • Translate marketing campaigns, new launches, and promotional initiatives into effective in-store VM executions.
  • Lead VM planning for seasonal campaigns, festive launches, and category activations.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand, Category, Marketing, and Retail Operations teams for timely execution.

VM Excellence & Store Execution

  • Drive flawless implementation of VM guidelines across stores.
  • Conduct store audits and monitor VM compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with regional VM teams to maintain execution quality and consistency across markets.

Consumer Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, and store performance to optimize merchandising strategies.
  • Use insights from store visits and business performance to refine VM standards and improve commercial outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–6 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Retail Experience, or Store Design within premium retail, fashion, lifestyle, beauty.
  • We are looking for candidates from AI first, new- edge, premium retail, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, luxury, or D2C brands.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, retail design, customer journey mapping, and commercial merchandising.
  • Proven experience leading VM rollouts across multiple retail locations.
  • Hands-on expertise in creating planograms, merchandising guidelines, display concepts, and retail communication.
  • Strong design sensibility with proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or similar design tools.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including Brand, Marketing, Category, Retail Operations, and Store Teams.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
