Kashmir Loom is a respected label working with Pashmina and Kashmir shawls for over 25 years. It has sustained this practice while also bringing a modern sensibility to woven and embroidered shawls from the Kashmir Valley.

With an online store running for over five years and an engaged presence across social channels, the brand is followed by academicians, museum curators, art collectors and textile connoisseurs worldwide.

Well-regarded within the textile space, Kashmir Loom is now looking to take this forward through a more consistent and clearly defined visual language.

Role Description

We’re looking for a Visual Designer who can shape and carry forward the aesthetic of Kashmir Loom across platforms. This role requires a strong eye for detail, an understanding of restraint, and the ability to translate our design sensibility into consistent, thoughtful visuals.

This is a full-time on-site role, based in Delhi, India.

Responsibilities:

• ⁠Building and maintaining the brand’s visual identity
• ⁠Creating and refining visual guidelines
• ⁠Ensuring consistency across all social media channels
• ⁠Working with archival material to create short-form video content
• ⁠Image edits and optimisations for digital platforms
• ⁠Supporting website updates with image iterations and clean-ups
• ⁠Assisting design team with product iterations 
• ⁠Developing content properties for ongoing storytelling

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in visual design
• A strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail
• ⁠Comfort working with subtle palettes and a nuanced design language
• ⁠Familiarity with short-form video and social-first content
• Ability to work across both static and dynamic content formats
• ⁠Ease with organising and working with existing visual archives

• ⁠An interest in textiles, craft, or cultural storytelling
• ⁠Experience building or working with brand systems
